Yamaha YZF-R6 Velocity Stacks - Carbon Fiber
A one-piece, four-funnel upper row and matching base plates for the Yamaha YZF-R6 YCC-I intake, shaped in computational fluid dynamics and printed in carbon-fiber nylon 12 (PA12-CF).
We started from the original funnel shape, found where it loses air, and reshaped it. Every revision went through airflow simulation. We kept the one with the lowest pressure loss.
Why they flow better
- About 23% less intake pressure loss than the original design, averaged across the angled lip (CFD simulation).
- Air stays attached. The original's thin lip lets flow separate at the entry. Our rolled lip shows no reverse flow at any section.
- The gap grows with rpm. 4% less loss at 15 m/s intake speed, 26% less at 45 m/s.
- Smooth inner surface. One continuous flare from lip to seat, with no steps or ledges.
Why carbon-fiber nylon 12
- Heat: 175 °C heat deflection temperature (PLA: 57 °C).
- Stiffness: Over twice the flexural modulus of PLA or PETG.
- Oil and fuel resistant: Nylon 12 holds up to the oil mist and fuel vapor inside an airbox.
- Tough: Flexes under impact instead of cracking.

Fitment
Yamaha YZF-R6 with YCC-I (fit-checked on 2008). Contact us before ordering for other model years. You must use your original stack rails. This kit mounts directly onto them.
Install
Direct replacement for the stock stack assembly. Uses your existing hardware and YCC-I linkage points. Check the YCC-I system moves freely through its full travel before starting the engine.
Airflow figures are steady-state CFD results (RANS, k-ω SST) comparing our funnel with the original design; they are not dyno results, and real-world gains depend on your bike and tune.
